LONDON, KY - (April 7th, 2009) Opening night in Florence Kentucky Speedway had 46 modifieds show up to do battle. These 46 drivers were divided into 4 heat races and as the
checkered
flag dropped on the heat races each win was picked up by a Lightning Chassis driver. 1st heat won by Don Adams, 2nd heat won by Rick Bingham, 3rd heat won by Scotty Kincaid, and the 4th and final heat won by Joey Kramer.
As you can imagine Lightning Chassis did not stop there domination of the event at the conclusion of the heats races. As the drivers crossed the line for the main event four of the top five drivers including the event winner were piloting Lightning Chassis. Joey Kramer would go on to take the victory followed by Don Adams with Matt Hamilton and Scotty Kincaid finishing 4th and 5th in their Lightning Chassis.
